Farinheira balls

The traditional flavor of farinheira wrapped in the Rialto breadcrumbs.

This dish is easy to make and has an incredible flavor, the breadcrumbs give it a crunchy texture and a great look.

Perfect as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  1. Make a longitudinal cut in the farinheira to remove the skin.
  2. Spoon the farinheira to a bowl.
  3. Add the cheese, two tablespoons of Rialto breadcrumbs and the parsley.
  4. Knead the mixture until well blended.
  5. Mold polka dots about 4 cm in diameter.
  6. Pass each of the balls first for beaten egg and then for Rialto breadcrumbs.
  7. Fry the balls in very hot and abundant oil.
  8. When the crust is golden, remove the marbles from the oil and place on absorbent paper.
  9. Serve as an appetizer or snack.
